BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION
Since then the department has steadily grown and achieved “Commerce is the Equalizer of the Wealth of Nations”
- The Department of commerce was established in the year 1987.several milestones.
- In its initial stage, the department offered only B.Com(General) (E.M)(T.M) Programme in the year 1987.
- Gradually it expanded its courses based on time and market demands B.Com(Computer Applications) was introduced in the year 1998
- BBA Programme was introduced from the academic year 2023-2024 which provides good career opportunities in the present competitive world.
- The Department of Commerce occupies a substantial share in the Institution in terms of the strength of both students and faculty.
- The Department is functioning with 13 Qualified, Knowledgeable and Experienced faculty members. Out of the total faculty, 1 faculty member has M.phil & One faculty member is pursuing Ph.D.
- The Faculty members of Commerce Department have completed various courses in online mode offered by NPTEL in SWAYAM.
- Two members of Commerce Department are having membership in Indian Accounting Association.
- The Faculty members published Articles in International Research Journal and also makes Paper Presentations in National & International seminars organized by various colleges in association with IMRF.
Highlights of the Department of Commerce
- The Department has achieved Percentage of 90% to 100% incore subjects and 100% in Life skills and Skill Development courses.
- The Department offered various certificate courses such as
- Accounting Package (Tally) and Logistics and also offered Value Added Course such as Event Management.
- The Department arranged various Community Service Projects and
- Internship programmes in association with various companies.
- All Faculty members use ICT based Teaching- Learning procedures in their teaching pattern.
- The Department is having a Computer Lab with 50 computers.
- The Department of Commerce initiated Free Coaching to II & III year B.Com(G) & B.Com(CA) students who had the aptitude for competitive spirit by CRT and renowned Coaching Center(Sreedhar CCE).
- The Faculty of Commerce Department extends financial support to some of poor students.
- The Department has MOUs with various Institutions for the benefit of the students.
- B.Com students also participated in various events organized by various college and AKNU and also won 1st prizes.
